The Cheltenham Promenaders provide guided

walking tour experiences around the historic Regency Spa town

of Cheltenham. Learn about the rich history of the town’s past.

Hear anecdotes and stories about the many famous people who

lived or visited the place, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, The

Duke of Wellington and Gustav Holst to name but a few.

Discover the town’s many splendid buildings and parks. The

tours include stop-offs at some of the resort’s many eating and

drinking places, where you can enjoy food and drink with a taste

of the town’s past.

Our Guide

Our tour guide Phil dresses as the 18th century Manx sea

captain Henry Skillicorne, the founder of the first spa in the

town. The tours are an excellent way to see the sights, enjoy the

tastes and learn the history too!

Phil combines his passion for local history, his character acting

skills and his love of food and drink as he leads tourists, visitors

and locals on heritage walks with a difference and shares his

knowledge of the town’s rich past
